Jamie Kinnarney - Superintendent of Schools

Jamie began his tenure as Superintendent of Schools during the summer of 2020.  Jamie was born and raised in South Royalton, VT where he made his home until the fall of 2020.  He now resides with his family in Calais, VT where he enjoys spending quality family time with Lisa, Ethan, Isabele and his two quarter horses and three dogs.  Jamie previously served as the Principal of Williamstown Schools PreK-12 where he devoted his career to creating a comprehensive system of support to ensure all students had the high quality universal instruction and targeted supports to reach their greatest potential.  He is also a graduate of Lyndon State College and Castleton University.  Jamie prides himself in having an Open Door policy for any member of the WRVSU community.  Therefore, you can always schedule a time to meet with Jamie through his administrative assistant, Kristy White at kwhite@wrvsu.org or by calling 802-763-8840.  You can also reach Jamie directly through email at jkinnarney@wrvsu.org

Anda Adams: Chief Academic Officer of MTSS

Anda joined the White River Valley Supervisory Union in spring 2021 after moving to Vermont with her family. Since earning her doctorate in Education Leadership, she has led school districts' teaching and learning departments in Bellingham, Washington and Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is committed to ensuring that all students experience rigorous, joyful, and culturally-sustaining learning. She loves skiing and hiking with her two children and spouse, and reading and writing when she finds (rare) moments by herself. You can reach Anda at aadams@wrvsu.org.

Annette Rhoades: Director of Special Services

Annette grew up in Bethel and graduated from Whitcomb High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Rivier College. Then Annette went on to receive her Master of Education Degree with a focus on Emotional Disabilities from Notre Dame College. She taught special education for about 5 years in NH and ME before moving back to VT and teaching in Williamstown for 15 years. In 2020, Annette received her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in School Leadership from St. Michael’s College. She spent some time in the Barre School District as the Assistant Director of Special Services before arriving at the WRVSU. You can reach Annette at arhoades@wrvsu.org.


Tara Weatherell, Business Manager

Raymond Ballou: Director of Technology and Communications

Ray joined the Central Office in this role at WRVSU in July of 2019. Prior to that time, he worked for the White River Unified District, having started in 1999. Ray has been a lifelong resident of Royalton where he lives with his spouse and three children. When not working, Ray enjoys reading and learning about electric vehicles.

Hayley Zoerheide : Director of One Planet

Hayley took over as the Director of the One Planet program in June of 2022 after spending the last 4 years teaching first and second grades at the Sharon Elementary School. Hayley lives on a small farm in Strafford with her four children who attend the Newton School. Hayley loves being outdoors whether running, hiking, biking, gardening, or swimming. Lori Ballou

Lori has worked as an Medicaid Clerk and Administrative Assistant at the Orange-Winsor Supervisory Union and The White River Valley Supervisory Union for over 25 years. She grew up in Norwich VT and went to The Marion Cross School (Elementary) and graduated from Hanover High School, NH. At the age of 33 Lori moved to South Royalton VT. Lori has enjoyed working with her colleagues throughout the years. She enjoys spending time with her five grandchildren, family and friends when she can. Lisa Blair: Human Resources/Admin. Asst. to Business Office

Lisa started her journey as Human Resource & Administrative Assistant to the Business office in July of 2019.  She brings her experience working as a legal assistant/office manager for 18 years to her position with the district.  She worked for Washington South Supervisory Union in Northfield for 2 years prior to taking a position closer to home with the Rochester School, as Administrative Assistant/Office Manager where she worked for 13 years.   She has lived in Rochester with her husband and 2 daughters since 1996 (both of whom are now grown).  When she’s not working and actually has time to herself, you can usually find her hiding in a book.  You can reach Lisa at lblair@wrvsu.orgor at 802-763-3895 Ext. 109.


Ellen Blanchard: Accountant

Ellen has been our Accountant at the SU since March 2022 and received her Bachelor's degree from Norwich University. Ellen lives on a farm in Chelsea, Vt where she adores spending time with her dogs and cows; she also enjoys kayaking, dirt biking, wood burning and spending time with her loved ones. Lisa Campbell: Early Childhood Special Educator

Lisa began her position as an Early Childhood Special Educator at WRVSU in the Fall of 2022. Lisa has three grown children, and has lived in Bethel since 1991.  When not working, She serves as a Bethel Library Trustee, and on the Bethel Conservation Commission.  Lisa is an avid reader, loves to walk her dogs, and periodically attempts to do some quilting!

Mindy Farnham: Transitional Housing Liaison

Mindy has been working in the SU since 2016. She is the Transitional Housing Liaison for the WRVSU. In addition to that role, she is the school counselor for the First Branch Unified School District (CPS &TCS). She has a Master's Degree in Mental Health & Substance Abuse Counseling and her license in school counseling.  She lives with her husband and two children. You can reach Mindy at mfarnham@wrvsu.org.

Jacob Hinton: Payroll/ Accounting Clerk

Jacob began working as the Payroll/ Accounting Clerk since September of 2023. Jacob lives in Barre with his wife. He is on his path to finish his B.A in Management from BYU-Idaho. Renée Hinton: PreK Coordinator

Renée has worked with the WRVSU since 2021 as the Act 166 PreK Coordinator and Interventionistist. She has her Master's Degree in Education and her Vermont Teacher's licence endorsed in Birth through Grade 3, and K through Grade 6. Susan Lancey: Early Childhood Special Educator

Susan has been an early childhood special educator for 9 years and loves every minute of working with our “littles”. She earned her Masters in Early Childhood Education from Champlain College in December 2020 and she is passionate about transdisciplinary teaming that includes families. She and her husband Greg have two daughters that live in Tennessee and North Carolina. This gives them a great excuse to visit the Blue Ridge Mountains as often as possible! Kate MacLean: Coordinator of Communication

Kate began in the newly created position of Coordinator of Communication for the WRVSU in August of 2021. Kate has two children in the First Branch school and lives with them on her family farm in Chelsea's West Hill. When she's not working she is writing or running or trying to find balance in her unruly garden. Michaela Martin: System Support Coordinator

Michaela has been a school and central office administrator in Vermont since 2005 after receiving her masters degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Vermont. She began the position of Intensive Programming & System Support Coordinator for the WRVSU in July of 2022. Michaela grew up in Rhode Island and now lives with her family in Barre Town. Johanna Snelling: Accounts Payable

Johanna Snelling works in accounts payable and has been in this position for 16 years starting with Windsor Northwest SU in 2006 and then coming to Orange Windsor SU before the merger of White River Valley SU. She lives in Royalton with her husband, son, daughter, and mother in-law. Johanna likes to spend time with her kids, do some crafts and just keep busy. You can reach Johanna at jsnelling@wrvsu.org.

Kristy White: Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent

Kristy began working for the Windsor Northwest Supervisory Union in 2000 as a paraeducator, moving on to the Guidance Administrative Assistant, and then to the Central office as the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent until 2010.  In 2012 she was hired as the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent for the Orange Windsor Supervisory Union and has been in this position since then in the now newly merged White River Valley Supervisory Union. Kristy has 3 grown sons and lives in South Randolph with her husband.  When she is not working she enjoys spending time with family and  friends, exercising and being outdoors.  Kristy is a lifetime Vermonter.
