In March, The students at White River Valley High School began a youth led Food Pantry and Clothing Swap at their high school out of the need of food insecurities and lack of appropriate clothing.

They have served dozens of families in our community and surrounding towns including: Bethel, South Royalton, Tunbridge and Chesea. There are a variety of ways that students get their needs met.  The participants enter the food pantry at the end of the day and pack grocery bags for others to take home. This can be anonymous.  Two students in the alternative pathways math program cook food from the pantry every day.

The pantry also has toiletry and hygiene supplies. The clothing space has a selection of clothes needed for students including prom outfits, shoes, accessories, sport practice attire, spring clothes and interview clothing.
